How can you create more Joy around you?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 07, 2008:
The Angels have said that "The Purpose of every soul is to live in Joy".
I have always found that in order to spread joy and happiness around to others one must find these within themselve first. You cannot spead something that you ,yourself donot feel. For me, Joy comes in the little things . Joy and happiness comes in the quiet moments... the first rays of the dawn, the song of a song bird, the sound of the water as it plays over the rocks in a quiet little stream, soft gentle breezes on a warm summers day, cotton candy clouds floating across crystal blue skies. These are things that I notice as I take just a few minuts to sit and just be in the moment or take a walk and be in the moment. These aren't big things, they are small and simple; yet they bring peace, and peace brings harmony to the soul. Joy can be found in the little things. When you have Joy ,happiness follows and it radiates out of you like the rays of the sun ,touching all those whos lives you touch...then it spreads , spreading Joy isn't hard ,because Joy is found in the little things, a smile , a kind word, a good deed, Yes, Joy can be found in the little things...
One day not long ago, after having a beautiful morning of sitting outside with the sunshine , the birds singing, and the flowers so fresh and vibrant, I had even been able to write some that morning. What a gift, I had gone to the Dr's office to pick up a paper I needed and while I was waiting for it I noticed a man standing in line waiting to sign in . He had this look about him that I recognized right away. I saw immediately and was given a messag to give to him so I walked up to him and began to speak to him ... I asked him if he was a Vietnam Veteran and He said he was, I then asked him if he had a moment that I had something very important that I just had to tell him. We stepped aside and I began to tell him that All the servicemen involed with war that we are in now always get a heroes welcome when they come home and are treated so well, and when 9/11 happened ,the police and the fireman and all who were involved with that were heroes and were treated as such... and I wanted him to understand that in my heart He was every bit as much a Hero . I thanked him for fighting and doing what he did and for all the sacrifices he made . I told him that I understand his pain and his not understanding why things went the way they did ,that he was just doing what he was ordered to do by his comanding officer, he had no choice, he was so very young, and scared,he didn't even know why he was there half the time, just that he was told to be there, so he went. I said it to him again " You are my hero, thank you so much for what you did for all of us." at this point tears were streaming out of his eyes and mine too, he hugged me and said thank you He got back in line and I sat down... A little while later as I was ready to leave, He was also leaving his appointment , how amazing things work out, he walked up to me and said, I wanted to thank you for all that you said to me in there, Today ,I had planned to end my life but you changed that for me, I am not going to do that now. I am going to stay now. Thank you . He had such a sparkle in his eyes and a smile on his face that wasn't there before and when he told me that ,I felt such joy and happiness like I have never felt before. We hugged each other again and as I was leaving to head to my car I heard him whistleing a song as he walked to his car.. Thank God.. When ever I think of him and I do from time to time ,I offer up a prayer of Thanksgiving for him and all who have ever served in any of the conflics or battles, or wars or disasters, or whatever.throughout history. You are the heroes.. all of you. whether you were recognized or not, I am recognizing you now and saying thank you.. ~ Joy comes in the little things ~ I wish you Joy , Peace and Happiness.

I so enjoyed reading your blog about this, may you continue to find joy in the little things, I more or less said the same in my blog on this, different but similar, hugs..

The mench that are fighting, have the path that is theirs of a brave heart indeed.
The ones who died, are seen in divine light, from our hell existence here on earth and are worshiped for.
The ones that do not go into active battle, (persay) are ones to be honored as well. For their courage sees much of this wounded knee and troubled land existing. And such dealings of anarchy, is but much to make a customed to and for this land we call, “Free”.
For this land, we soldiers live and struggle for, are for the ones that cannot see.
Let us pray, for a better input of values and moral conduct, and may we breath in a peace that sheds no name but only a love, for all that matters.
And may “V” and love be with thee.

OMG. I am covered with goosebumps, and very very still.
You knew to approach that man. You felt what he was experiencing, and the perfect words radiated through you and out to him. When you were finished you both were streaming with tears? And, somehow, “accidentally,” his appointment ended at the same time as yours? and you ran into each other again…so that he could tell you – not simply that you had touched him – but that your words of appreciation had so caused him to fill with love (and wonder and hope!) that it literally saved his life.
One simple little act. Simple. Justasimple little act of sharing peace and love.
And such acts have to be the most important – most JOYFUL – things possible for a human to experience. On either the giving or the receiving end!

I was so touched by your post..I had to sit in quiet reflection for a few moments to wipe the tears from my eyes…tears of humble appreciation for being in the presence of an Angel…an Angel who would go up to a stranger with a simple act of unconditional love in her heart to share such Pure Loving Kindness!
